Money, money, money
Apparently Ellie wants to be on Grammy and Papa's payroll! She was helping Morgan clean my house today. She is quite worried that her mom and dad will not have enough money to buy her clothes for school this fall. She told her mom that Grammy and Papa would probably have a few dollars she could earn (wouldn't it be nice if it really only cost a few dollars). So today she did the dishes and helped keep Jonas occupied while Morgan worked. We could hear her in the kitchen singing while she washed the dishes and telling Jonas how to clean the dishes and put them away. Priceless! Ellie, you are hired. . . .

that's always my excuse for saying no.... sorry ellie, we don't have money for that.

maybe i should stop using that excuse and just tell her plain no, more often:)

I always use the excuse that we don't have the money, which the kids then ask if they can do extra chores to earn the money for it....ummmm....same problem there.
That's what grandparents are for! We can blame papa for starting the whole walking around money thing and earning money for chores! I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. In a few more years, they won't be so eager.
